Where did that year go? The market is still clipping along even though inventory levels on certain products are a bit low. We have a steady stream of visitors every week and showings continue to be consistent. We are seeing many folks interested in second homes as well as those looking to relocate and make this magical place home!
The spring line up of events and concerts will be another great way to wrap up our ski season. Next week, Steamboat is host to WinterWonderGrass chock full of bluegrass and craft brews. There is still time to get here from Feb 23-26th.
One of my favorite bands will be here on Feb 25th. March Fourth Marching Band is something to behold. They are amazing athletes and musicians. That's all I'm gonna say about that...you have to see it to believe it!

Onto numbers, Melissa Gibson from Land Title provides us the year-end stats on sales. She reports: "December was a decent month, but a little off from last year We had 131 Transactions and $79.9M in Gross Volume. Compared to last December, Gross Volume was off by -19.45%, with the YTD. at -0.75%. Transactions were also off by -7.75% compared to last December, with the YTD. at +5.63%. However, please note that there was $22M in interval transfers/sales last December, so taking that into account evens out our numbers a bit more.

There were a total of 195 DOT recordings, with 55% of purchasers closing with financing at the time of sale, and 45% closing with cash. There were 129 Refinance transactions.
Upper End unit sales were up with 14 in December, compared to 8 in November. New Unit sales were down with 5 in December, compared to 7 in November.
Bank Sales were down with 2 in December, compared to 3 in November.
